A setup you cannot get lost in.

Natural translation needs one welcome channel. Multilingual Support needs one existing text channel and, optionally, a support-team role.

Before you start

The person setting up NOMA needs Manage Server. NOMA itself does not need Administrator.

NOMA does not request Manage Roles, Manage Channels, Kick, or Ban.

1. Add NOMA to your server

Use the Add NOMA to Discord button at the top of this page to open Discord's authorization screen. Choose your server, review the permissions, and authorize.

NOMA is available now.
After adding it, continue to step 2. Purchase and subscription management open through a secure checkout from Discord.

2. Run Quick Start in a welcome channel

Choose a channel everyone can see, such as #welcome or #general. An admin runs /setup once in that channel.

The shortest route

  1. Select “Quick Start”
  2. Start with General
  3. For a game server, select “Start with Gaming” and optionally choose the game

NOMA posts a permanent language panel in that channel.

3. Members choose their language

Each member selects their primary language from the permanent panel. The choice is saved, so it is not required again.

New members receive one prompt when they join. NOMA does not reply to ordinary chat with language-selection prompts, so existing members should use the permanent panel.

Setup complete.
Chat normally from here. NOMA automatically decides which translations are needed from the languages your members selected.

4. Set up Multilingual Support

Create or choose a text channel such as #multilingual-support. Give @everyone View Channel and Send Messages in Threads, while denying parent-channel posting, thread creation, and Manage Threads. Give the support role View Channel, Send Messages in Threads, and Manage Threads.

  1. Run /tickets setup in the panel channel
  2. Choose the support team's language
  3. Optionally choose a support role such as R4
  4. Choose the optional channel field only to post the panel somewhere else

When the channel is omitted, NOMA automatically uses the current channel. NOMA audits access before enabling the panel and again whenever a ticket opens. It refuses to create a ticket if @everyone or an unrelated role can manage private threads.

Privacy boundary
Ticket content stays in Discord and is not stored in NOMA's database. The server owner, Administrators, and the configured support role can access tickets under Discord's permission model.

Not just the group chat. Members and staff can use their own languages in a private support ticket.

Troubleshooting

A message was not translated

  • Confirm at least two different primary languages have been selected
  • Confirm NOMA can view, send and read history in that channel
  • URL-only, emoji-only, bot and same-language messages are intentionally skipped

Change a topic or term

/topic, /game and /dictionary are optional admin controls. Basic translation works without them.
